I'm pretty sure nobody reads this, but I wanted you to know that I have officially tendered my resignation from EPISD, and I will not be at Lincoln next year.
You have no idea how hard that decision was to make -- I had massive bouts of anxiety and sleepless nights. I will miss all of you immensely, and particularly my after-school daily rehearsers (I always thought of you as my after-school club).
I am not leaving because I was unhappy here, but because I felt that not being able to be there for a longer portion of the day was preventing me from being the teacher that I wanted to be for all of you. It was a decision based on time constraints and happiness; I feel that if I were there for more classes I could be the best teacher I could be for the benefit of my students.
My heart is heavy, but also very much fulfilled by the way that you all individually changed my life for the better. I hope that I have given you the training you need to continue on your instrument, and to be successful with that, but also in life.
Your teachers are a fleeting portion of your life, and we become just a memory that you will look fondly upon someday. I will smile always when I think of my time at Lincoln, and what we were able to achieve.
I will be taking down the website once All-Region is over. You can still use the "contact me" page to get in touch with me in the meantime.
I will miss you all, and I hope you will support the change I am making, and the great new opportunity and challenge I am about to embark upon, as I would support you.
